A Season Cut Short…
So I make this athlete highlight with a heavy heart. I never post this many shots from 1 match. However 1 week ago today this young stud suffered an injury at practice. Having the incredible grit that he does he limped out of the gym at the end of practice. This kids resolve is 2nd to none. However Sunday at he Saegertown Open he was still having issues with his heel. This was his final match Sunday... Potentially of the season. It was revealed earlier this week that he has a fracture and his season may be over.
Why so many shots from this match then? Why not cull any? Because, getting to watch this young man wrestle, and photograph his wrestling is truly a privilege. His work ethic is incredible. His grind is unmatched. He isn't loud, he isn't flashy, he leads by example and his presence will be greatly missed in our wrestling room. it may sound cliche but his presence made everyone around him better.
This was looking to be a HUGE! ABSOLUTELY HUGE season for him... there is a small glimmer of hope that he could make it back in time for the state qualifier tournaments. Fingers are crossed. so back to those questions stated earlier? When you have a wrestler this special, and you may not get anymore shots of him this season, you save all the ones you have left...
